Where to live

Blloku

The former communist leaders' district, now full of cafés, bars and boutiques.

Komuna e Parisit

Newer apartment blocks near the Grand Park, popular with young professionals.

Near the Grand Park (Liqeni)

Green, quieter streets around the artificial lake.

Our plans match neighborhoods to how you work, your budget and who's moving with you.

Getting around

Compact and walkable, with city buses and cheap taxis. Traffic is busy, and new bike lanes are expanding.

Language and English

Widely spoken by younger Albanians, many of whom also speak Italian. Older residents and offices may not.

Healthcare

Public care is basic. Most foreigners use private clinics and hospitals in Tirana and carry private insurance.

Safety

Check the US State Department's current advisory for Albania before you go. It changes, so we link to it rather than copy it. Like any big city, Tirana has areas that are safer than others, and your plan flags the ones to know about.
