Answer the questions to see which kind of cover fits

There are three kinds of cover for a move abroad, and they aren't interchangeable:

  • Travel medical insurance for trips and the first months: cheap, monthly, mainly for emergencies.
  • International health insurance for living abroad: full cover, often what residence visas want.
  • Local cover once you're a resident: a local private plan or, in some countries, the public system.

General information, not insurance advice. Always check a policy's wording against your visa's rule.
