Who qualifies
Colombia's digital nomad visa lets remote employees, freelancers and online business owners working for clients outside Colombia stay up to 2 years. You need income of at least 3 times the Colombian minimum wage: COP 5,252,715 a month in 2026, about $1,640.
- Remote employees of companies outside Colombia: yes.
- Freelancers and business owners: yes.
- Income: At least COP 5,252,715 a month (3 times the 2026 minimum wage), shown on your last 3 months of bank statements. That's about $1,640 a month.
Open question: Colombia's 2026 minimum wage was set provisionally (Decree 159 of 2026) while a court reviews it, so the income threshold could change. Check Cancillería before you file.
